BlackBerry “BOLD” Characteristics
I recently saw the Blackberry Bold and I’ve have had a strong desire to own one, with no money! How about that! But it still has not stopped my thoughts from playing with the subject of owning a B.B. So I went on- line and decided to check out the features and the design, when it hit me how much our lives should be like this B.B.
The slogan alone says, “It connects you with the world, and helps you stay on top of your day”. So my mind thought of how the word of God should also be used to keep me connected and focused on what the Lord has planned for my day, since I’m on His schedule anyway. The B.B. is equipped with a camera to capture and share the moment, enjoy the convenience of automatic push delivery with Internet based e-mail accounts, text messaging and attachment viewing. Wow! So much in such a small package! I wondered what would happen if we as christians would take some advice from the B.B.? If we started to capture the real meaning of godly living and share that with others daily, what an automated push delivery testimony we would surely have. We wouldn’t be so eager to pass along ungodly texts or e-mails that hurt or damage our christian family and others who may not look, act or worship like us. But anyway, there are other features such as it’s built in GPS system and maps, brilliant displays, power and the bold confidence that just having it in your hand makes you feel in touch and connected to the world. Then finally, with a summative phrase that simply states, “Power the Passion you Pursue”.
How many of us are walking around lost not sure what God is trying to reveal to us and where are paths and dreams are leading us. We sometimes get so caught up on what we can see, that we forget it’s the things we cannot see that defines where our paths will lead. The best GPS system that has maps already included for you is in the Word of God. Here we have been left the best roadmap for life, with accounts of past, present and future knowledge of how we should live. The brilliant displays should be the reflections of our daily walk and communication with God, because when you are linked to the Master, you don’t have to run around with a sign saying, “Look at me I am saved and holy”. Just your life, your kindness towards others, the smile on your face that radiates to the hearts of those that come in contact with you, or the warmth from your touch that allows you to hug the broken hearted and wipe fever from the brow of a sick stranger. This alone will cause others to wonder what is it about you that is so different and unexplainable. You have your display turned on bright for the world to see because something on the inside of you beams with the awesomeness of God’s love! Then we have the boldness that tells others we are not ashamed of who we are or whose we are. This boldness should never be used to hurt or disrespect others but it should always be turned on and ready as a witness for the Lord. All of us should have all these features activated within ourselves. So, do I still want a B.B.? Yes I do, but in the event that I never own one, I have realized tonight that I already possess one. So the next time you are looking at your phone, check out it’s features and see any resemblance’s you and your phone might possess. You might be astounded at what you have or don’t have. Whatever the case, this is my own personal reflection of inspiration and I hope it has motivated you in some way to think about your own convictions and how you are choosing to live your life as you start your New Year. I hope you are intentional about your relationships, goals, family, friends and future. Anything is possible if you believe! So be Bold and power the passion You pursue!
See It, Believe It, Do It
Love You All

Enjoyed the blog today. It made me smile and think of Pastors’ favorite phrase “that’s when it seem to happen”
I was really blessed by your blog today. It was uplifting and reminded me to walk by faith and not by sight. God has all power!
Thank you Ms. Gwin. I’m glad that I read this so late in the day, my mascara would be all over the place otherwise. I am such a crybaby:-) I am a 31 year old mother of 2 that has just enrolled at KSU as a freshman. Each and everyone of your blogs has been an inspiration and encouragement. I have known for a long time that I can do this but was afraid. I have finally stepped out on faith and am continuing to stand on His word. I have also been on your site and saw where you graduated at the age of 37, what an inspiration. Thank you for being obedient to God and leaving that well paying job to do His will. I am so thankful to have come across you, your site and your blogs!
